COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to help you improve your fluency and effectiveness when communicating in English, with emphases on oral communication in the American academic context and in everyday life. You will be provided a great deal of opportunities to practice using English for communication in a variety of contexts, including academic and real life. More importantly, you will have opportunities to work on tasks, individual and group, through which you will develop not only the English competency but also the 21st century skills, equipping you to stay competitive, in both your learning journey and real life.

At the end of the course, you should and could have been able to:
- Communicate in English more fluently and coherently
- Get involved in discussions, identifying accurately arguments supporting and opposing points of view.
- Ask right to the point questions and respond more spontaneously and effectively.
- Express ideas and opinions with confidence, present and respond to complex lines of argument more convincingly.
- Produce clear, smoothly-flowing, well-structured speech, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
